yes, i hardwired my ipod to my stock unit...

works great and basically u gotta
unscrew the screws in the console up it off as well as the shoft **** and then unbolt the stereo and wire the unit to the powerpoint for power and ground and the diagram is very easy to follow... took about half an hour 2 install...
i then ran the wire for the ipod thru the ebrake and to the area where the second power point is in the center console out that peice that randomply can pop off and then i put the ipod on the cup holder area as it fits perfect there.
