So I have SLP Loudmouth Axlebacks, Should I get a H or X pipe also? I have heard some people talk about how that combination is ridiculously loud, so are there any soundclips of that combination?

In my humble oppinion:

Keep the cats.

You'll get a much louder sound with an off road pipe but it won't sound as good.

Also, due to the lack of backpressure you're gonna lose some torque...

how can u loose torque if brenspeed is "claiming" 10+ torque with the h-pipe?

Because they're claiming peak torque.

Modern engines require backpressure to make low end torque. The less BP you have the higher up in the curve the torque moves, becoming less useable.

+1 - I think the SLP's are the BEST sounding exhaust with cats. When I installed a custom H-pipe and took off my cats, the SLP's didn't sound as good and I went with Borla. I would definitely have kept the SLP's if I kept my cats. Being just loud doesn't make the car sound good and mean. There are a lot of loud cars that sound like crap. I would keep your cats - the SLP's sound awesome with them. If your concerned about flow, try some high flows. This is a small clip of my car (which admittedly is very loud)

PS - this is my daily driver tune so I pop the rev limiter. The car is much meaner and louder on my race tune cause the rev limiter is set much higher.

I made a thread on here a couple of weeks ago about my o/r H-Pipe install with my already installed SLP's. I LOVE my SLP's, but after putting on the H-Pipe...my car sounded horrible, IMO. I took the H-pipes off and stuck with the stock mid-pipe.

I am planning on testing out the H-pipe with some series 40 flows that were given to me by a friend...just to see how it sounds. In the long run though, I think I'll stick with my SLP's and stock pipe.
