chevykiller, you mean the lanyards are going to scratch the paint off? They are coated w/a soft plastic.

use turtle wax chrome polish (not wax) to prevent rust.

well.......i started at around 8:30 and got done at around 10:30 with the hard work. Then I was missing a tool, so i will continue tomorrow. Oh I'm missing a "step-bit" to make the hood holes bigger. However, it's definitly something I will take to a shop next time. If you have proper instruction and tools its a walk in the park. If you give me til tomorrow I will give you some pointers where I got stuck and had problems. I will get my tool tomorrow morning and should be done at around 1pm. I'll pm u after if you want. let me know.

tangtang, i'm going to get some parts tomorrow, and head over to my dad house that has at lot more tools there.

Any tips would greatly be appreciated. PM or in the thread. i'll check before I drill the first hole.

P.S. I bought some white shoe polish like the instructions recomend. I think that's wierd.

The whole thing isn't very hard even without the instructions (and I got the hat too!) but it is definitely a measure 6 times, cut once procedure...lol
