I still use the factory shocks. My shop gave me the same advice. Going to keep them till I NEED to replace them.

so it sounds like the stockers will work but it might be a tad more bouncier.

chevykiller can probably answer that. seems to me that alot of shops are doing what killers shop told him as well as my shop, i'm sure the guys he deals with are a reputable as the one i am dealing with and i cant imagine them leading their customers astray.

I can't speak for Chevykiller. But I can tell you to ask Lostsoul or me I have had mine on since April and the ride sucked till the Tokico's were put on. I have another friend in my club who installed them before me who also does not have a good ride.

Hey wait a minute guys! I never said he shouldn't replace the shocks or there's no difference...LOL. Yes, my ride is bumby and needs the Tokicos. Yes, my trunk rattles everytime a hit a bump and on uneven pavement you can here the lower control arms rattle slightly. It was just a matter of install priorities for me and I opted to just deal with the factory shocks for the time being and it's not like the stock shocks are breaking my back when I drive - they're not that bad...LOL. I personally didn't do it cuz we were redoing my suspension (steeda can no longert handle my power) and swapping out the springs for Q81's. Once the new springs get here (on order) I will replace the shocks. I was telling him he CAN use the factory shocks and it's not going to kill his car. Just a little bumpier ride.

I get 0 'uncontrolable bouncing'. I honestly only notice anything when I'm hitting bumps or an an uneven road. My personal opinion is the $600+ dollars aren't a priority.

I agree with what Chevykiller said. The worst part of the ride is bridge transitions or bumps it was not to bad for the first 4 months I could live with it but it got old after a while and the more people in the car the the worse it is. When I installed my Eibachs nobody even made adjustable shocks and struts. But if you do not want to sink all that money in right at first you will still be happy with the handling of the car because it can take a corner alot better than stocked.
Just to let you know about the Tokico's it will still not feel like a factory ride it will always have a stiffer ride you have to keep adjusting the Tokico's till you find the best set up. The great thing I like about them is you can set them up for the strip or for handling or just a ride that won't throw you all around every time you hit a bump.
