Possibly a higher voltage output. Not too positive on shaker sound, I also had 500 though. 06 V6 Pony. But after the first month or so already had replaced with a better system. I take my music as serious as I do upkeep of my Mustang.

What the heck is... RDS ..i have the 1000...how and what do i do..?

When listening to an FM station hold down the menu button for a few seconds.... "RDS off" will pop up on the display if the feature is turned off, hit one of the arrow buttons below the display to turn it of or on.
