Default Saleen tire question

I saw that saleen equips there cars with a 275/40 20 for the rears with a 10 inch rim. I was wondering if anyone knew if a 295/40 20 would fit without any problems? Thanks for the help

Geez - getting bent out of shape over 2 hours without a reply [&:] Nobody replied because I'm sure nobody tried it. I doubt it would work without some rub. Saleen usually does their homework and gets THE MOST out of their suspension, wheel and tire set-up without rub issues.

Thanks for the reply sowaxeman, kinda burst my bubble, i was hoping someone would come back and say it will work. i am nervous going with a 275 on my rims, causing a negitive bead, didnt want to go with a 30 series, thats just crazy. hopefully from now until spring/summer they will come out with a 295/35 or even a 285/35

Why dont you call the TireRack and ask them? They will probably be able to give you an answer. Maybe if you haven't already bought tires, they can help you out. Not an ad for Tire Rack, but they seem to always know what will fit (like Crutchfield knows what stereos will fit your car )

pillow out means that you would almost have to much tire on the rim, therefore if that is true, its safe to say that if they made a 285/35 tire, it would be a perfect match for a 20x10 rim.

exactly. you got it bro. form my expierience the 295 will be too big for a 10" rim, a 285 would be a better fit but someone else might tell ya diffrent
