Super Chargers and stock engine parts

RE: Super Chargers and stock engine parts
Consensus is it's fine below 450rwhp. 425 would probably be safest. Anything above that and your playing with fire. It may or may not hold. Been a couple prochargers blowing the engines in the 450+. Haven't heard a twin screw blow yet though.

Lots of folks do it without any problems. I don't know about Ford, but GM dealers have been denying warranty claims for virtually any drivetrain issues on cars that have blowers added. Seems to me like they have a right to do that, but a lot of owners seem surprised by this. (let's save the Magnuson-Moss discussion for some other time).
The LSx engines have no problems handling a blower, but the transmissions and differentials tend not to like it.
That would be my concern with any car these days.

With respect to Magnacharger and Paxton, at least, you are on your own for anything but the blower itself. Not sure about Vortech or Kenne-Bell, but these companies probably don't have the money to warrant $10,000 drivetrains when selling a $4000 part.
