The best movie car chase

RE: The best movie car chase
I just watched gone in 60 secs again yesterday. They had a special at the front that told the story of making the film. One guy, wrote, financed, produced, directed, stared in, and performed the stunts. Many of the scenes were on actual roads with no approvals to film. Some of the scenes were unplanned and just worked into the movie (i.e. opening scene of train wreck was actual train wreck they just happened onto, it was later written into the script)

I pick bullet because it was a more realistic chase.. gone in 60 sec was good too.. but when he jumped the car and landed it after a 30 foot high jump and drove off... well.. that did it for me. plus the scean didnt end with a burning dodge

Man, I cannot remember the name of the movie. The one with Sylvester Stalone where he was a Formula car driver. Another driver stole a formula racer and Sly grabbed another one and chased him down through the city streets. Movie sucked but great chase scene.

Bullitt is my favorite by far. When the car chase begins when that charger punches it, it gave me chills on my skin. I watch the original Gone in 60 seconds, it was cool but somehow a comedic car chase scene. The remake was cool. that shelby was badass.

I'm sure there are others out there that I just can't think of right now, but I've always liked the car chase in the James Bond film "Diamonds are Forever" They drive that red Mach 1 Mustang all over downtown Vegas ending with Bond getting the Mustang up on the 2 left hand wheel and cutting through a too-narrow alley! The car recently sold at auction. By the way, the Mustang in the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" was supposed to be a '73 and yes, it was yellow!
