The time is closely closing for me to bring my car to the shop and get my car lowered. My neighbor works for XPP (Xtreme Parts & Performance) and they got a deal with a company called Road Magnets who make car springs and springs for nasa (you know its high grade stuff). I called him tonight to get the final details, and they measure EVERY freakin thing. height, thickness, gap between coils, tension... list goes on and on. They take it and take off the factory springs, mesaure, measure, measure... then completely make a custom set of springs (they are being made custom becasue my car will be the guinnea pig for their new line of springs) which may seem like a bad thing... being the guinnea pig and all... but i see it as a good oportunity to get myself a set of springs made to my liking. Because tehy are experimenting- they want me to be completely satusfied and see what stang drivers like. So, they will remake the springs if i dont like anything about them. Sounds like i got myself a deal. Only catch is that my car will be gone for 3 days [][][] so nervous. I cant see my car in someone elses possesion for long. He also gave me a place to go to get my car aligned- $15 per wheel... is that a good price? I'll be sure to post some pics... before and after, then after again (they are giving me the prototype spring, then they are going to take the design and bring it back to their manufacturing place, and fill a truck with the powder coated springs vs just the plain springs) Just felt the need to share
