The GTO weighs a bit more and the suspension is different from the WS-6 thus the time differences. But from experience, I had an 01 Camaro SS Convertible and that sucker was churning out 13.7-13.9 bone stock and that was without a ton of practice. GM under rated their LS1s too. I think it's a driver's race but I wouldn't bet anything substantial. But calling a case of beer insubstantial is a sin I think....

I think there was also an article on an 01 SS Coupe that ran 12.96 in GMHTP.

Also, noted that some have dynoed there bone stock SS and WS-6 to a tune of over 315 rwhp...factory 335hp? That dog won't hunt monsignor...

Oh yeah the WS-6 is the Pontiac Firebird version of the Chevrolet Camaro SS.

just to let everyone know, first run i ran 13.73 he ran 13.68. Second run i ran 13.71. He ran 13.75. Third run i ran 13.74. He spun the tires bad and ran a 13.82. Every race came down to who ever got off the line first. After that we stayed pretty much even until around 90mph and he started to gain, but by then it's too late for the 1/4. By the way, after tuning the car i was running 13.61-13.69 consistently.

nice runs, and if everyone would look back to my original post about this and my best friends ws-6 it all comes to light.

i get tired of everybody thinking those cars are so bad ***, i mean dont get me wrong they are great cars...i owned a 95 SS and it was a beast. BUT these stangs are great cars and if you can drive just a little bit then you can hang, and you see what happened with the tune..so there ya go
