Hello I need a set of 255 / 45 R18 tires.
I can get Toyo Proxes T1-R for $140 each, but the treadwear is not too great on it.

I do not need a very high end time, just a V6, but I do not want junk.
I would happily trade a little traction for more treadwear.

Anyone out there any any suggestions ? Looking for responses from those of you who may actually have the tires.

Toyo has a Proxes ST designed for performance light trucks. Right size and 400 treadwear with A traction rating.
Is there a reason not to use a "truck tire"

Good question. Some of the tire sizes I've looked into are for SUVs. Hey Stoenr, what say you?

I cant think of anything that would be wrong with it. Its not like they are LT tires. Built the same way as most others.

But I am Biased to Goodyears.

Found a guy on another forum running light truck tires.
Speed rating is lower but still rated at 149mph..

F1's are nice, but low treadwear, noisy, and too expensive in the size.
