Default Passenger Airbag

Well, I'm getting closer to having my '06 looking like I want (a modern day version of the '67 GT-350). I just got the vintage Shelby emblem for the interior. It should go on the passenger side bright metal dash insert. I know several of you have removed these inserts and replaced them with carbon fiber inserts, etc. My question is how do I remove it without setting off the air-bag? Thanks for the help.

Come on someone here has to know how to do this...Professor, ChevyKiller, The Ghost? I'm sure at least one of you knows how to do this (see how much faith I put in you).

I didn't remove any interior parts....

However, I believe the aluminum factory dash cover is just "stuck on" and careful prying will remove it.

While removing it, do not drive your car into any solid objects such as another car or bridge piller in order to avoide premature discharge of the airbag.

OK Professor, that made me laugh. I knew you or someone had the answer on this. Once it's off, and I attach the emblem (which of course is the original post style) how do I reattach it. Is there a specific type of adhesive I need to use so it won't come off again (or worse yet, rattle)? Thanks again for all your help.

Why don't you just attach the emblem on top of the trim. That is what I did. with 3M tape.
