Default '06 GT's Easier To Come By ??

Just curious if the '06 GT's have been easier to come by compared to last years crazy wait times for an '05?? I ask because over the past few months, I've noticed all alround Indiana and Kentucky (including the SMALL TOWN dealers) that they have plenty of GT's sitting on the lot. Some even in the double digits! Tonight I stopped in the Saleen/Roush dealer in Lexington KY and they had 9 GT's sitting out on the lot, and one (possibly two) sitting in the showroom. Thats just something we didn't see last year. And to top it off, they had 4 Roush's and 2 Saleens sitting OUTSIDE WITH AN INCH OF SNOW/FROZEN SLUSH ON THEM [:@][:@] Thats just wrong. Saleen and Roush should require their dealers to park those things under roof.

A word of advice to you KY shoppers, if you are looking into buying S-281 #556 or S-281 SC #703 (I think that was the number) both black, I would highly recommend you look them over with a fine tooth comb. I can just see it tomorrow morning, the boss tells some part time teenager or low man on the todem pole to go out and clean off the snow - and out comes the typical brush and all the swirl marks

i just ordered my 06 GT almost 2 weeks ago and I have to wait till March to have it delivered. The problem is not with 06 GTs being short around my area... its just that the manual trannys are hard to come by but overall, i could have gotten an auto one right away... but seriously.. who would want an auto unless there wifey has to drive it?

That's another good reason to order the manual, so they don't.

I've been to two dealerships in Knoxville, 1 had a Blue one with the body kit and the other one had at least 3 GT coupes and 2 GT convertibles with manuals. And no price gouging involved. So... maybe?

Also, it seems like the 06 maybe a better deal then the 05's because I've seen a lot of dealership mark used 05's for more then equivalently optioned 06's at a higher price!

I've seen the opposite here. Manuals on every lot/dealership. No autos to be had......... Guess it depends on Location.

Last year for the 05's the main reason for the wait on GT's was that we couldn't get the engines fast enough so we had to build more base models. Here lately on the 06's going down the line I see alot more GT's going by in comparison to the base models than I did last year so I am guessing the supply of GT engines has improved. It will be interesting to see the mix once the Shelby is regularly running in production, too, although they will be in limited number.........

I noticed that also. More GT's on the lots this year. When I got mine, it was on the lot, sitting there waiting for me..
