This discussion really is completly senseless.......a mustang, gt, or gt500, cobra or whatever else name you wanna call them is not a sports car!!! Please don't be ridiculous.

ferrari = sports car
porsche = sports car
M3, M5, M6 = sports car
lotus = sports car
3series BMW= no sports car
mustang and all other names= muscle car
charger= muscle car
etc
etc
etc

no offense to anyone.....but the mustang whether gt or gt500 or whatever else is not made for handling. anyone who says anything different and compares the handling of one of our cars to handling of "sports car" i.e the ones listed above is a moron.
