I don't think it's THAT ugly with a nice plate frame. I really don't need another reason to get pulled over.

ORIGINAL: kopfjager

I worked traffic unit for ten years. My favorite traffic stop is anyone in a corvette with no front plate.
There is nothing more satisfying than to issue a banana to those guys who think their ride is too cool to be spoiled by an ugly front plate. Sure you can come to court with a picture of it on, and the ticket will be dropped many times.
However if I stopped you after that with no plate, expect to get hammered again and oh yeah, don't forget to have your seatbelt on, registration and insurance card handy!

Here is a big tip for you guys who think it is cool. You are giving police probable cause to stop you. If you have been drinking or whatever, you have just given me legal cause to find that out, from your breath , behavior etc.
I have bagged many a DUI from a "no-front-plate" stop. I have also come up with warrants, drugs, weapons and all those would have gotten away from me if those dummies had had on their front plates.
Of course I let lots of people go who were missing the tag, but they checked out okay and/or were not making up bull**** excuses, and were polite.

So go ahead-----make my day!

lol, jesus H christ. gimme a ****ing break, i smell bacon! jk, anyway.. um. like i said.. i wasnt looking for opinions, Im not a druggie, a drunkie or anything, if i give a cop a reason to pull me over, itll be for breaking the law of speed and plus.. i left my dealer window sticker on, so any cop that sees me from the front, theyll simply think its a new car

Here is the bracket that I make. Mounts from below so it can be removed without seeing any holes.

Thanks for going to the trouble of taking the pics and posting though. just what i'll use in case i get a fix it ticket. so far, so good though. tinted windows and no front plate (in CA where both are illegal) and still no tickets. *knock on wood"
