Uncle is buying a new mustang, need some info for him
well he's buying a new mustang, he was looking at saleen, but then he decided he wants to build it himself, god help him, b/c he kinda isnt a car person in the least, in a way he tried to tell me the difference between a root based s/c and a centrifugal s/c is that the rootbased is always on and the centrifugal is only on at higher RPM, then he went on to call them both turbochargers when he was talking about superchargers. Well anyway, he wants good hp #s with daily drivability. He is a doctor so he has to get to hospitals even in not so great weather. I told him to go for an 03/04 cobra or an STI, STi b/c its awd, but not the point. He wants to make it faster, but keep DD and long life. Any recommendations such as how much hp can the engine hold etc. Im not too well read up on the 05-06 stangs.

he wanted tthe gt500 but dealers were gonna charge more than 40k so he said forget that, then he looked at saleen and then decided he didnt need all the **** they would give him, so now he wants to make his own

To be sure a doctor can spare 40 large for the Shelby. If he wants a fast Mustang tell him to get an 03/04 Mustang Cobra. I think they are a lot of bang for the buck if you want to go fast, you can mod them up to over 500 hp if you mod it right. But if he is set on an 05/06 sounds like chevykiller would be a good resource for you.
