Its not the blue, our neighbor has the blue, its not it. Its like amiz between the gray and blue, and the Eclipse model AVN 30D is not out, I searched, there is one similar like AVN 5245 or something but its not the same model. I ebayed and googled the model and nothing.

http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/....asp?TID=61042 Apparently the model is for dealer use only, not for people to purchase which explains, why the car toys guy was so ticked.

For some reason it seems like you're getting sent through the ringer.

The paint seems to be Tungsten gray (although its difficult to tell with the lighting), which is not custom. And how can some people swear its supercharged? Its not hard to see/hear it and since its a brand new car, it would have to be dealer added, to which I guarantee they would advertise out the wazoo and make up an extra $5k. Not the standard V6? Pop the hood and take a picutre, that would dispel all the rumors f'sho.

Do you know anyone that actually knows a thing or two about cars? Maybe they could offer some help. It sounds more hype than anything.

The car is Tungsten Gray and maybe people are confused with the V-6. The new models are 4.0's not 3.8's anymore which means its packing a couple of more ponies. Make sure you do your research before you go and get screwed by the dealer. Good Luck and let us know the outcome

This is almost the same as my wife's. It's a Tungsten Grey with the Pony pkg. And it's being hyped to you as "custom". Tungsten has flecks of purple in it that reflects sunlight to purplish. It is a new color for 06, not "dealer special". THe pony package gets you foglights and trim on the grille, 17" rims, fender emblems, sports brakes, stablizer bars, and I think the spoiler.

This explains almost all that you describe. Your salesman is pushing a pretty common (yet good for the $) option as more than it is. You can probably do better than 24K, too.

Here's some pics of ours:

One of the local dealers here has a Tungsten GT and it looks purple and I mean purple! I stopped and looked at it.
The paint felt horrible, basically seems like the paint was way to thin and the primer was showing through in the color.

Could be it.

Nice headunit, but still does not sound like a deal. Sounds fishy
