Longest w/o resetting MPG

RE: Longest w/o resetting MPG
Well I spend 50/50 city - highway driving and get 19-20 mpg. Just hit 8000 miles on the GT stick shift. The best I got was 24 with cruise and all highway driving. The car only had 300 miles at the time. I don't know how hard you guys drive, but I work mine hard enough with 17 as my worse average.

I haven't reset that since I got the car in July 2005, car has just over 5000 miles on it now. I am getting about 18-19 mpg on my reading. My average mph is about 34. I drive about a 30 minute commute to work everyday on empty back country roads so I get pretty good gas mileage for that. I swap out with my wife during the week because she has a short 10 minute commute to work with low miles, but in more traffic. Swapping out on it keeps the total miles down on it, but I probably keep our gas mileage higher when I am driving it.

I've had my GT for a week now, I am on my 3rd tank of gas, have 550 miles on it, and I do a lot of rush hour driving during the week. Havent reset my mpg since I got it, and it reads 16.2. I check it every fill up, and it has gone up everytime. I was only getting about 13 when I first got it.
