I emailed Brent and he said the car would run fine off and on the bottle with a nitrous tune. If they're any other pro tuners out there with an opinion please speak up.

This is a good subject. I E.mailed Brent at Brenspeed and directed him here for help. I'm planning on buying the kit from him anyway. Maybe he'll chime in tomorrow.

Got your message.

In short if a customer wants a nitrous tune there are more areas than just timing I adjust. The car will run fine without it. A good example is an 05 GT I had on the dyno was making around 300 rwhp and with the nitrous tune it made about 296 rwhp on the motor set up for a 100 shot. The main thing for me when doing a nitrous tune is to not just pull out timing but I do modify some other areas for safety.

Now I have ran a 75 shot on my 93 tune with no problems (zex system). So I tell customers I do it with no issues but to be safe I always suggest a nitrous tune. Remember when your engine runs different temperatures and you have various air intake temperatures your engine will run different timing. So what may work one day may not work another day. That is where a nitrous tune comes into the picture. I do my best to make adjustments for safety so all of the sudden your computer does not add in 5 degrees of timing because it thinks you need it. You also dont want other various sensors adding in timing either.

On top of those areas there are even more areas I would adjust for a nitrous tune that have nothing to do with timing or air fuel.

Hope that helps.

Brent,
Once again your awesome customer service has helped many customers and myself make an educated decision on modifying our Stangs. I will be in touch with you this summer when I can lay hands on my Stang. I would like to set my car up for a 125 shot. Thanks again and please keep on doing the great work.
