I'd drive one if it had performance to back it up. I like the ethanol idea myself.

I'm all for hydrogen... it's actually a lot less dangerous than gasoline. Check this out:

RE: Hybrid or alternative fueled Mustang
I hope to still be kickin in 20 years, still have a job, and still have this 06 mustang- and SOMETHING it can burn
currently hybrids are not worth much from what Ive read...I think it was something like "IF gas was 5.00 a gallon AND you drove 20k a year, AND you kept it five years- it might breakeven" regarding cost/fuel savings or something like that.
I think biggest challenge to alt fuels will be distribution- especially if hydrogen does manage to take off...I think the hindenburg on fire picture from the Led Zeppelin album hasnt been forgotten enough for that to happen yet...but maybe in another generation or three...
cars will crash, high pressure cylinders are easily ruptured, hydrogen is hard to contain, and likes to go boom. bad mix. the hindenburg was a great ship- one catastrophe ended that plan though.
when the presidents family starts buying up farmland, expect new fuels and a 'gasoline crisis' to follow
wherever the money pit is located, expect development. If it goes to some type alcohol(likely) our little hard to fill gastanks are REALLY gonna **** us off, as the fuel/air ratio has to double...at least it shouldnt stink as bad when car burps up on you...
