HID's
I just ordered my set of HIDs, is anyone else running them?

RE: HID's
From Saleen? How much were they?
|
RE: HID's
Not from saleen, its an HID conversion kit, Uses stock headlamps. Ive had a kit on all my cars, wouldnt have it any other way. Depending on the quality the kits can be from $200-$500

Source?

RE: HID's
What do you mean source? You can buy them all over the net and ebay.
Search for H13 HID Conversion Kit |
RE: HID's
You've used a few different versions of this, I take it. Do you have any preferences? Any good brands to seek out?

RE: HID's
Ive personally always had a good experience with McCulloch HID Kits and that is what i got for the stang. Ive also had good jobs with Phillips HID kits. Both McCulloch and Phillips are plug and play, no cutting ot splicing required.

RE: HID's
the beam pattern on these mustangs are horrible. your gonna blind everyone with all that glare. Plus with these kits you lose your high beam. The only good hid setup with properly aimed beam and highs is the saleen.

RE: HID's
That is the exact reason i didnt get the saleens. No need to buy a whole new headlamp for an HID system. I paid $280.
There is no need for a highbeam with HIDs because they are brighter than your highbeam to begin with. Also there are such things as glare shields, trust me ive done this more than a few times. Also there are kits that have Hi/Low beams like the H4 setup. Last but not least i see no problem with the beam pattern in the 05, looks great to me. |
