Default weird sound when turning the wheel

When im driving slow, or stopped, and i turn the wheel, it makes a really weird almost mechanical sound. its not from the steering wheel itself, its coming from outside of the car somewhere. Anyone have any ideas? (and no its not the sound of my tires rubbing the asphault).

Yes, popping or cracking sound. Best way i can describe mine. There is a TSB on that. I had mine repaired several months ago. Look at the top of this site and click "Recalls and TSB's"

Hey guys- I put my stang in the shop for the same reason. They said that they new it was a problem with the power steering pump. They said tha the only thing they could do is flush the systema and put in an "additive." The sound went away for about three days and now it is back as loud as ever.
We really need to start complaining about this to the manufacturer. does anyone know who to contact? I know I did not spend almost 30K on a beautiful new mustang, just so it would make that shreeking noice whenI turn - It DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!
Any other suggestions?

Hey,

Well, everything was installed by a professional speed shop and was done in about 5-6 hours.

The following I have installed: Steeda Sport Springs, Adjustable Panhard Bar and Brace, G-Trac Brace, Tokico Adjustable Shocks/Struts. BMR , LCA's; poly.

The car defintely feels way, way different. Kind of bouncy almost like a race car should be?? It's definetly alot more "bouncy" than it used to be.. something to get used to.

We just did the "5-turns" like they had in the instructions to start. I have not yet done an alignment.

I have a problem though!!![:@] - At very slow speeds, when I make a sharp turn righ/left the Front, "WHINES", like something is wrong??

I only catch it when I'm making a sharp turn and only at slow speeds like 5-15 mph. It's a consistent whine,, like pulling into a parking lot and making a long , fairly sharp turn,, the best I can describe is like a "whining" sound. It's funny that this started after my install however...

Do you have any idea what this "whining sound" could be?? Could it be the power steering pump and have nothing to do with my install??

Thank you...
