RE: Wow what a car!!!
Thanks for all of the input everyone....I read the manual and it said for the first 1000 miles (Engine break in period) not to try and determine the accurate mpg. I also determined that I have been driving with my air conditioning on...(that might help reduce the mpg). I just can't get over that it is finally here in my driveway and looks kick *** with the windows tinted. I plan on washing it first thing in the morning and then taking a few pictures before a bunch of family and friends come over for the superbowl......I wonder if anybody will ask me for a ride....LOL.

when i decide to leave the rover in the garage and take the stand to work, i usually get 22 miles to the gallon on california freeways.....however when i drive it on the weekends for joyriding, it drops right down to 14mpg.....lol, yes im enjoying it! congrats on the car btw

I'm in Cali too and I get 14-15 around town too. What's up with that? OF COURSE it can't have anything to do with my HEAVY foot! Our gas here sucks! LOL!

First, I wouldn't switch to synthetic oil before 12-13k miles. That said, I can't find the article I had on the specifics, but it was from an engine builder who said that this was the point when the engine is finally truly broken in and a switch to synthetics before then will potentially lower the performance of the vehicle.
Second, 'grats on the new ride. Enjoy it.

i was getting about 18mpg in my 06 gt, i took the mufflers off the other day and it dropped down to about 15mpg, i don't want to put the pipes back on though because it sounds sooooo good to me
also, motorcraft has a fully synthetic 5w20 now, i work in parts at a dealer and we just got it in the other day, i've been running mobil 1, but i'm switching to the new motorcraft today when i change my oil

Hello all!! I have already burned one and a quarter tanks of gas and I only got it three days ago. I haven't learned everything about the car yet but the INFO button says ave MPG 14.4. I have been taking it fairly easy on the car because I don't know what the break in period is before I can light them up a little. I plan on using Mobil 1 synthetic at 1000 miles and getting a CAI and Tuner.....side note...do these really give you better fuel effeciency like they advertise? No big deal but just curious. I will get a few pictures as soon as it stops raining here in Seattle....so July or August...lol.
