1) 2005 Pontiac GTO (Pros:Lots of power, Nice interior)(Cons: small trunk space, NO STYLE)
2) Chrysler Crossfire (Pros: Sweet style) (Cons: No back seat, small trunk space) but fun to Drive
3) Dodge Charger (Pros: Nice Power, Ok Style) (Cons: four door sports car ?? HEAVY)
I am looking at the New 2007 Dodge Challenger
Looks almost as good as the stangs with more power...

Torque 420 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm
HP/Liter 69.7 hp per liter
1/4 mile 12.8 seconds
0-60 mph 4.5 seconds

I traded in my Stage 4+ WRX...
I looked at a 2006 WRX STi..$36,600 out the door...didn't think so
GTO - Gas tank is in the trunk
350Z - Mustang was cheaper, especially since I used the Z plan..

I decided to test drive a new car during lunch and drove to the Pontiac dealer by my work but they would not let me test drive a GTO without drivers lisense which I did not have it on me since I forget I forgot my wallet at home which I have never done in many years except this day. So I did not get to excited about the GTO which stickered fully loaded for $35k so I left and drove to Ford they had only 1 GT coupe in stock black with red leather 5sp loaded that came of the delivery truck 20 minutes ago and was getting prepped for sale so they let me drive a GT vert auto and the rest is history. By the way I traded my commuter car a 05 PT cruiser for it.

You test drove a "Roush" and went with the GT. I've heard a "Roush" is a cosmetic thing and maybe a little more in the suspension? What did you hear/think? I have a Screaming Yellow '05 GT and I'm a very happy camper.

Wasn't really looking to buy a new car let alone a Mustang ... Already have a 5.0 GT ... Anyways , a co-worker took me with him to check out the 2005 Mustang at a local Ford dealer (3/05) ... Test drove a Roush & decided to order my very own GT ... Two dealerships & seven months later (10/05) ... I'm the proud owner of an "06" Tungsten Grey Mustang GT ...

I knew exactly what I wanted when looking for a new car... I bought what I wanted and considered nothing else PERIOD. LOL
Currently in my stable; 2006 Mustang GT, 2002 S2000, 2005 Exploder Eddie Bower. Recent rides 2002 BMW 325CI, and BMW Z3 and numerous others during the past 22 years.
Next on my list... 55-57 Ford Thunderbird or even a modern AC Cobra... Could never justify the actual original AC.

I wasn't looking for a car at all. I saw the 05 Mustang and thought to myself "If that thing is built half as good as it looks I gotta have one!". I spent 2 months researching it and discovered that it was desgined a lot better than I ever wou'd have guessed. Now there's one sitting in my garage. I am very happy with the car. No regrets whatsoever. In fact I am going to be replacing my daily driver soon and I am buying another Ford so I will have two Fords in my stable.
