My mechanic Said that the only mods that do not void engine warrenty
Are K&N CAI (He Stated K&N Only) Under Drive Pulleys and a Throttle Body.
A Tuner / Chips, CMDP, Ext, will void the warrenty. He said the three mods listed here
will give you the same power as a tune without warrenty void..

But Since he Does the SCT Dyno Tunes and he said that the Tune will feel Kick a$$ (My Car is an Automatic)
and the one thing you can't get with simple bolt-ons is the tranny tune
So I say Screw the warrenty

So let me get this straight. Your mechanic thinks that UDPs won't affect a warranty claim on a water pump/overheating related motor failure? AND.. this same mechanic doesn't feel that a throttle body without a tune that leans out the running condition of the vehicle ( which has been shown on a dyno MANY TIMES ) won't be looked upon in the event of an engine failure as the point of failure and thus denial of a warrant claim? And this fine mechanic also claims that UDPs, the worthless aftermarket throttle body, and a K&N CAI is going to get you the same results as a good dyno tune. Hummm......

Well...my mechanic says your mechanic is full of poo.

Will you or another contributor add a topic at the top of the forum about the Magneson (sp) Moss Warranty act....you can add it to that area where there are only 8 or 9 topics(where the annoucements are), so hopefully everyone can read how adding aftermarket parts does not necessarily void the warranty......and people can be referenced there. Any mechanic that says this part or that part will void your warranty.....but these parts over here are ok to add because they DONT void your warranty...is a mechanic that I dont want even working on my lawn mower...thanks

Got my Steeda pullys today and installed for 70 dollars at a local speed shop and I'm impressed. The engine feels stronger and has better pick up. www.brenspeed.com has them on sale right now for 205 dollars. Inaddition I got them in two working days. Get them while you can motorheads. They even chuck in a Brenspeed t-shirt for 5 dollars. I thought that was pretty cool since I have done business with them before.

Magneson Moss Act deals with replacement parts I think, like when the dealer says you only have warrenty on if you only use Motorcraft filters and nothing else, unless they are provided free of charge. I may be wrong about that, I just use it to sell NAPA filters. They can't void the warrenty unless they can prove that what you did caused the problem. i.e. underdrive pulleys overheated the engine.
