You can't get screwed by aftermarket parts suppliers charging high prices. If you don't like the price don't buy it. If the suppliers can't sell the parts then they will lower prices, but if there are enough others out there paying the prices then the suppliers will sell them. You can't blame the suppliers, blame the people that are paying the prices, they're the ones supporting the market.

I dont play thier game. I buy stock take-offs and used parts.

There is no reason to charge $300+ for intakes, $400+ for 2 mufflers. No reason other that they can get away with it. In the past 10 years I have only paid retail a couple times for aftermarket parts.

I'm a big fan of poor man's mods myself....like on the 95 maxima I traded off on my Mustang. You could cut holes in the stock air box and get pretty much the same performance gains as a $150 CAI.
