Hi There,

I am fairly new here. Sorry if this is a repost, but I have searched and searched (search feature on this forum / google / other forums / etc.) and could not find any information on the Blitzsafe UII wiring instructions for the 05 / 06 Mustangs.

I recently purchased the FRD04 and the Blitzsafe UII for my 06 Mustang GT. I am trying to do the install myself, and I am not much of a car stereo expert. So far it has gone smoothley. I have the FRD04 installed and working with just an RCA plug in to the ipod at the moment. It works great. But I wanted to charge my Ipod while it is in the car.

I've got the instructions from the Blitzsafe package, but they aren't really that helpful. They state:

1) Connect Black wire to chassis ground
2) Connect yellow wire to 12+ volts constant power
3) Connect red wire to a switched 12+ volts power
4) Connect the RCA connectores to the audio input
5) Connect black connector to the bottom of your iPod

I am stuck on #3. I need to know wich wire in the car / stereo I need to connect the red wire to.

I figured some of you guys with more knowledge and experiance that myself might know which wire would work. If anyone has any information that would help me, it would be much appreciated.
