Weird sound from SLP LM copies on cold start up...
So I had a local shop make me a copy of SLP loudmouths, and they sound great. But I just drove it after it sat for 6 hours, and it was making an odd 'POP...POP...POP' sound, that went away when it warmed up. It sounded like,....this will sound weird but,..it sounded like if you slap you open hand against your open mouth... It did it for about 2 minutes. I did the exhaust 2 days ago, and this is the first I noticed it. Anyone else here something similar with SLP/knockoff exchaust?

I have the SLP brand and they do kind of rumble & gurgle when you let off the gas after stepping on it cold. But never an actual backfire. I like the rumble, but it sounds different than what you are describing.

If it is making this sound as you decelerate, you may have a leak in the exhaust system where they connected the SLP LM copies. After driving, the metal expands and seals the leak, then it goes a way.
Just a guess, hope it helps.
