yea man im 17 and ive got an 05 Mustang GT 5 speed manual with IUP and 17" aluminum rims....................i got it right before i turned 17, and consider myself extremely lucky. I worked my *** off 5-6 days a week for a year to get the down payment for this car, and im so glad i did, because this thing is a beast lol........my parents are helping me out though which is nice.

HOW COME MY PARENTS NEVER BOUGHT ME A MUSTANG?! i'm 22 and I had to pay every penny of car i ever bought... wait come to think of it why didnt they ever buy me a car period?!?! lol damn parents... i will get the last laugh when I drive them to a retirement home!!!

well i wanted to buy my friends 93 5.0 with PLENTY of goodies, but they wanted me to get a new car
so i could have completely paid for the 5.0 but hey still cant complain
and yes i am extremely lucky

I am 18 will be 19 in a couple of weeks and my new 06 GT comes in in about a week. I go to school right now and the only reason i got the GT is that my previous veichal (01 F-250) cought on fire, yes it cought on fire. Those years of trucks had a faulty cruse controlle switch that can and will catch your truck on fire. Well needless to say I loved my truck, it was awsome, I had a lot of mods on it like: a lift, 38 inch tires, chip, cold air intake, and duel 4" exhaust. The insurance did not pay for my mods when the truck got tosted but they did give us a lot for the truck it self.
Yes I am spoiled but the truck was actually a hand me down from my father when he got a new truck. The mustang will be my third car, I started on an accord.

What I wanna know is how much your damn insurance is gonna be per year for a gt if you're under 18, my bet its close to $5k. I got a new 2001 sentra se when i hit 18 and my insurance was $2000 a year for a 145hp car lol. When my fiance got her 05 gt when she was 24 with a clean record I think her insurance was like $3k a year. You'll definatley be looking at close to $5k IF they will even insure you.

I just turned 18 and will get a GT in May, so I'm just sitting here saving up until then, reading all of you guys' stuff about your cars enviously, lol. On brand new cars, I've read that the engine will make more power after some time, as initially there are more losses due to friction and such. Has anyone been able to directly compare a brand new mustang (or any car) with one that has a few thousand miles on it? If so, did you feel any difference? I know, this doesn't have to do with what the rest of the thread is on, but I don't wanna start a new thread just for that.

Man I still couldnt' imagine the insurance on a GT at 18 or even worse 16 or 17.
