You can install it yourself, and it voids factory warantee either way AFAIK. The only SC I know of that doesnt void is the roushcharger if you have an authorized dealer install it.

Pro's: Vortechs are great because you can use a huge FMIC with them and really cool down that intake charge. They are relatively efficeint, look cool and not to difficult to work with

Cons: These types of SC's tend to "Lag" Slightly, and work more with top end than bottom... But who stays in the 1-2krpm range anyway?

How can that be? Why should ford be liable if you overboost your engine with a crappy SCer and throw a rod?

The law doesn't state that the manufacture is Liable - To some it up - If the dealership can prove that the Supercharger blew or broke a rod for example than yes ford would not warranty the motor. There are a lot of grey areas in that law.

It simple use Procharger and a self contained head unit (like the P-1SC) so you do not have to tap the oil pan(vortech / paxton) and everything can be removed and Ford is non the wiser when you take it all off the car for a warranty job like an engin. lol

Wow, what an ethical statement to make from an aftermarket manufacturer....[>:] Just when I thought that BBR's reputation couldn't get worse....it does.
