I see just plus for you. The SCT or Diablo will work fine for the tune, it's the tuner that needs to be good and knows what he doing. I live in San Diego and I traveled 120 miles to get my car tuned by ST Motorsports (Adam). I had my car retuned with the diablo, my mods are Saleen S/C, Auto, JBA shorty headers, CAI (Steeda), 90mm MAF, #39 injectors. Putting out 354hp/350tq, again thats with an automatic trans. The SCT was okay, but I like the Diablo better. So if your in the market for a tuner, I have my Xcal II for sale ($325).
Good luck with your mods. Oh, when you do install the CAI you WILL have to get the car retuned or you can damage your motor.

How much boost are u running? Are you using the stock pulley? Your hp numbers seem kinda low for those mods. I will be going with a similar setup plus a tune from JDM. I was told I could make around 400rwhp on this setup. ????
I have the stock pulley on the S/C. I keep hear what I should be making from 370 to over 400. I have read that the S/C adds 120hp with the stock pulley, lost of through the auto trans it's about right. I had JDM's tune and was getting 328hp, then had ST Motorsports retune with the Diablo and he got it up to 354hp. I was told I should be making more HP and I keep hearing it. I have what I have and I'm pretty sure I have a good tune. I trust Adam, but like he told me he tunes a car to run safe, not chase HP numbers.
Hey Sarge - Don't fret! Not one single person is going to produce a dyno chart with a saleen on an auto making better numbers with the stock pulleys. It is very easy for people to say what you SHOULD be making without knowing what they are talking about. The fact is that 354 rwhp is DAMN GOOD for an out-of-the-box saleen kit on an auto. Like I said, no one is going to be able to produce significantly better numbers on the same set-up. Dyno your car again now that you have the torque converter and gears and I'll bet your just over 380 now.
Hey Chevykiller

I don't have a new torgue convertor, just the 3:73 gears. Now I know why Don_W had good pick up with his 4:10s. The only problem I have now is when I floor the gas pedal, the motor will redline and then it looses power. It acts like it goes into fail safe when it does, but the power comes back right away. Maybe I'll call Adam and see what he can do.
BTW, thanks for backing me up. I should start a post to see who has a saleen with an auto and ask to post they're dyno sheet.
It was good to meet you the other day at ST Motorsports. The drive shaft you had install is one mod I would like to do also. Can you feel any difference with it?

Thanks for all the advise. I have two shops out here in Denver that state they're capable of doing the custom tune. Of course one uses the Diablo and one uses the SCT; From everything I've heard I think I'll go with the Diablo tuner! Hey MSgt46270, I've heard several people refer to the elusive 'Adam'; Which shop does he work out of and where is he located?

Here's a link http://www.modularfords.com/forums/2...ets-45380.html that another person replied to also about the saleen s/c with an auto. He does have a different pulley from me. But notice the HP rating.

Actually, I have to retract my thoughts about that not being high for your setup. I've been told many times in the last couple of days that the tune for the saleen sc on an auto is gonna be anywhere from 30 to 50 hp less than on a manual. As I understand it, the tuner companies are just starting to get a handle on the auto tunes for that setup. So I'm sure the numbers will get better.
