They are actually pretty cheap considering how well they are rated compared to other tires, especially in the 255/45-18 size that I want.
Tirerack is all aces. No reason not to do business with them.

got mine at cost from discount tire with the warranty (an additional $30 per tire). i love them but they bubble easily ie. hitting pothole or curb rub (only happened once) but they replace it for free till the tire goes bald...basically my buddy there told me to make sure i hit a pothole wrong sometime before the tread gets worn out and i will have free tires for the life of my car.
also, the tires hook decently at the track but are absolutely awesome on the highway, especially in the rain. almost funner to drive in the rain than when dry just b/c of the traction i get with them. have not hydroplaned once since i got them (knock on wood) but hydroplaned plenty of times with the stock tires especially when hitting ruts worn in the road by semi's.
