Default To copy or not to copy?? Hood question

Ok..
My company has been in the process of developing several new hoods for the 05+ due out in june.
A cobra R2000 hood

Now were doing another hood and I wanted to get opinions because one is a new hood from teh ground up and the second is someone elses hood but highly over priced by like 400.00
So which one do you like best.

Option 1:

or this hood here

I know if I did number to I'd make it functional, the above version is not.

The second one is the DCF 500GT hood, the very one I'm contemplating ordering in the next few months. The scoops on it aren't functional, but I had plans to get them cut to make them functional. If you guys are gonna do your own version, I would definitely be interested if the price is lower. I really don't wanna pay 800 bucks for a hood.....but no other hood is calling to me like that one. lol.

This is how I envision my car with the hood (I'm doing white stripes):

Well number 2 currently sales for 845.00? So if I sold it for say the same price as everything else we sell in fiberglass, and it was functional for say 400-425.00 that would be better?

Well if I get 10 people to say they would want it I'll go ahead and do it, probably have them out by june/july.. Definitely in time for woodward cruise.
The one thing were trying to tackle with all out new 05 hoods are aerodynamics on the front end of the hood.
i think my solution for wind push at the grill is going to make open slights at the front of the hood were the hood coincides with the grill to allow air moving directly at the grill and the moving up underneath to the hood to pass through 2 or 3 open slits so their reduced upward push at higher speeds.

We could do VERY limited CF. I know I've turned down 30 orders for full CF hoods because we just can't get enough of the stuff. I know we can do full CF hoods but all our current cf stuff would have a 1.5" black gelcoat boarder. If your painting your hood this wouldnb't matter any. Only to people whom wanted to leave it bare to show of CF.
