Default Roush offers me a full sponsorship...

Figures - right when I'm about to swap the engines, I finally get my car running perfectly. Last night at Perris Raceway, the stang was ON FIRE!! They wouldn't even let me run against any street cars and made me line up in the trailered drag car lanes. Was an AWESOME site to see my stang spanking full blown drag cars. I practically got mobbed by admireres and even the VP of marketing for Roush, Mr. Tony Marszalek, came down and offered me a sponsorship. I was lucky enough to meet Jack Roush on Thursday and he signed my car and sent his marketing guy down to see it run. I was flattered but of course had to turn them down cause I'd never make the power I like with Roush equipment. It was still very flattering and humbling though and those guys were really nice and very down to earth. I wish they had more drag-type mods cause I would be happy to work with them if the roush equipment could deliver.

Best 1/8 mile run last night...

Thats awesome! Congrats on the run. What does a 1.4 60ft feel like? Did the front feel like it was going to come off the ground?

It is a great feeling and I can't wait for my bogarts!! The car definitely wants to lift (you can feel it and see it) but just way too much weight on that front end. Thanks to Spyder, I finally got the bogarts on order from JPC. (thanks spyder!) Will have a 15X3 set-up on the front in 4 weeks and I'll add a sway bar delete and BAM - bumper to the ground time....LOL Yeah, I'm still riding the high. All 9 runs last night were bewtween 7.2 - 7.4 and that was no nitrous. Can't wait to get the new motor in and finally be able to squeeze a 150 shot on top. Since I didn't sell the vortech - I'm sedning it back and having a T-trim impeller put in with a 2.95 8 rib pulley kit to make 18-20 psi. I also changed my mind about the aluminum block cause I just need to be sure on stength, so the new inernals now are going on a cast iron cobra block with a 304 stroker kit to make 5.1 liters. I wanted to go 5.4 but too much $$$ to get it to fit. I'll have more than enough with the new set-up. I have been waiting forever so I'm really excited it's finally happening.

I have to add that the roush guys were some of the coolest industry guys I have ever met. Treated everyone like one of the family as soon as you met them. Like I said, it would be a pleasure to work with them. They seemed more interested in my car being a show car than race car and that's just not where I'm at right now. But down the road...who knows???

Congrats Killer,

You must have some ride to impress those folks. Have you looked into JDM's aluminum block?

I was set on a new aluminum block and I really didn't want the extra 170 lbs. but after much debate I just feel more comfortable with 18-20 psi AND a 150 shot on a nearly indestructable iron block. + the cast iron is running me $370 vs. $1200. Heck - I'm getting $800 for my stock block so it's a good deal for me. Weight was the only thing holding me back in the first place but I just feel the durability is worth the 170 lbs.

WOW so are you still running the stock internals.[sm=jawdrop.gif] Your car hauls a**! Nicely done! Definetly one of the best mustangs on the forums and the fastest. Can't wait to see what you can do with the new engine installed.[sm=hail.gif]

Your car looks awesome! Have you made any passes on a 1/4 mile and if so what type of et times did you get?

May I ask what components you added to the stock GT engine. Did you do completely custom tunes or did you go off some semi-customs like the diablo?
