Question Side Scoops - Yes or No

My wife was with me as I began my search for a 2010 Mustang GT. She saw one that had the side scoops. The one I bought does not. She really liked the scoops and thinks I should get them. I'm not sold on them yet. So the question is, should I get them or not - what do you guys think?

My son wants me to get them but I don't think so. They look pretty good on some previous models but I'm not a big fan of them on the '10. For some reason, I think they look better on the 'verts. My $0.02.

I put side scoops from wheelskin on my '07. They look pretty good but up close it's quite evident they're slapped on. I'm not sure if ANY of the aftermarket scoops look very natural up close and personal. But I don't regret adding them. They give my Stang a bit more attitude.

The pics are the only ones I can find at the moment.

I have seen the new 2010 in person with and with-out the side scoops. I like it both ways.

i can see that they're not flush with the door line. maybe that's why it looks slapped on. there are better side scoops (no offense) nice car though! nicer than mine too.

but there ARE better side scoops

I'm thinking aerodynamics, you will probably lose a few points in drag co-efficiency with a scoop. Its just there for the look... i have to say a hearty no for me!

I love them, mine looks pretty good with the side scoops. The hood scoop is fairly large but it has grown on me.

I like my mustang as plain as it gets, no spoiler, no stripes, no louvers, no hoodscoop, nothing. Less stuff to wax around.

None taken. If I had to do it over again I'd research it a little better and find ones that look better closeup. But all-in-all, they look mean from about 8 feet away or more and, as mentioned earlier, they DO provide some attitude.

I'm a fan of the side scoops, I mean hell I ordered them. Working at the ford dealership I have been able to look at two identical 2010 mustangs side by side, one with side scoops, one without. And what everyone else is posting is right, it does add an aggressive look. I say go for it!
