Default 2010 Hood Scoop - your opinion

What is everyones opinion on the optional hood scoop for the 2010s? I wasn't sure about it so I didn't order it when I ordered my ride, but it is kind of growing on me. Anyone know of a cheaper place to get it besides Ford - they want $365 for it and then I'd have to drop another $150 for paint.

It is a nice touch, but thats alot of cash for a non functioning scoop.

The beauty of the 2010 mustang is the fact it looks awesome without all the fake scoops, IMO. The scoops look good too but I'd be more inclined to replace the spoiler. You can get a painted Roush or GT500 spoiler off ebay for less than $300.

I'm purchasing a 2010 mustang the first week of March. Within the first few days I plan on tinting it, lowering it, and putting a Roush spoiler on it.

A little off subject, but I noticed you're from Nebraska. I lived in Lincoln until last year. Go Skers! ha

I agree I think the hood looks great and the scoop is not needed

I am also planning on getting the Roush spoiler... If I get the hoodscoop, I was going to take it to the bodyshop and have them fill in the gap between the hood and the scoop, then repaint all of it. My friends don't really like the scoop, they say it looks trashy. I just wanted to get some opinions from people that know what they are talking about.

I love the scoop and specificly looked all over the East Coast for a car with the scoop and spoiler. To me it sets it apart from plain jane cars and give it character and a liitle bit of a bad boy look, like, "don't mess with me". Of course it is up to you, don't let people sawy you one way or the other because you will find people who hate scoops and people who love them.

The 2010 hood scoop is terrible, its like putitng a scoop on top of another scoop???? It makes the hood lines look terrible and just cheap. If anything go with the shaker, now thats beast.

I love the factory scoop. I agree with Joe, it gives the car a mean and agressive look.
