Sandpaper the back of the louvers to remove the paint or w/e is not allowing the adhesive to stick?

The problem is that where the tape goes has tons of these little ridges. I guess given enough time you could do it, but i paid for them to be right not for me to have to mess with them. Problem is the paint tool didn't RTFM.

Sheesh, it's been a crazy week haven't had much time to post. So we went back to my dealer to buy the wife a new Edge last week. when i called my sales man to ask him about a car she wanted to look at before we drove the 2 hrs up there he asked me about the stripes and louvers on my car. i told him that they wanted to charge me extra for the SHR louvers and he went that's f'in BS dude. Let me fix that. i got a call 15 minutes later telling me the SHR louvers were ordered and that they were having SHR paint them and deliver was going to be about 3 weeks due to paint. i asked him about the extra charge and he said they wouldn't charge me extra. He did say i might want to throw the installer a 6-pack, lol. I'm thinking if its the installer that messed up my current louvers, he owes me a case for all the damn mental stress of dealing with him.

Hopefully they install the SHRs correctly. Your going to be glad the others didnt stay on after you get the flush mounts. They are sweet.
