DIY: 2010 GT front end conversion to GT500

So,
All the aftermarket headlight (projector style) options for the V6 and GT mustangs say that they are NOT compatible with the GT500 front end.
Why?
If you re-used and seemingly did so without issue, your OEM headlights here, why couldn't you presumably have re-used aftermarket projector lights?
Anyone know?

May I also get the PDF file. I am a new member and have not posted enough to get the file. I am interested in converting my GT to the Shelby. I just think that front end is very classy but mean looking.

Here is a blsck GT done last year. Only real giveaway are the rims and brakes. I would do it all over again if I was rich enough to buy a new body style

Hey guys, sorry I have not been online in a while. I created a blog dedicated to this subject and put the pdf there so you newbie's can get the instructions. I will be adding links to all of my resources for locating the parts. I am glad so many of you are interested in doing this update. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know. I found all of my parts online in new take-off condition, and after selling all of my new take-offs damn near broke even. (minus the paint of course)

I am using my stock GT headlights in the conversion, no issues. I know you can not convert from the stock headlight to the HIDs easily, but I have no idea why you can't have the stock headlights re-used in the GT500 front end. Perhaps the wire harness is different? Best to try giving them a call.
