only time i got pulled over for no license plate was because they couldn't catch me for speeding, and that cop was out to get me because he's been eyeing me from the red light

I don't think I could stand having a plate suction-cupped to the windshield. I've got one of these and a fairly dark grey cover on the plate so it is pretty subdued.

I had a missouri cop try and give me crap about not having a front plate, I guess he didn't believe me that michigan only had rear plates.

Well if you're caught speeding I'm guessing they never got a good look a the front of the car

I have yet to put my front plate on my 08 and never have been pulled over.
I don't drive my mustang a lot anyways, so that is probably why I have yet to be bothered about it.
I do have my plate in the trunk and may give the officer a story about a missing screw if they give me trouble.

We only have rears here in Louisiana, never had a cop give me trouble for not having a front one in any other state either.

I went 4 years without a front plate here in Maryland before an eager young cop pulled me over. He couldn't believe he was the very first cop in 4 years to pull me over for it.

yeah it sucks, i'm pissed but i am sick of being bothered by the asshat that patrols my area now so i just put the damn thing on the bumper. so pissed about it, lol, i don't care if it isn't legal i'm still pissed i hate front plates. I guess I'm going to have to get a custom plate, texas has some cool ones. they have one that is dark gray and black looks a bit like diamond plate. it goes with the car better than the crazy red white and blue standard plates here. The downside is that i am not that big on custom plates. guess i can think of something fun to put on it.... popo h8r?

What part of Texas are you from? If the law is willing to pester you for nothing more than a plate, when indeed you display both, I will make a note to try to stay away from that area. I am afraid that they might try to pester me over some other minuscule thing.
