For about the same price as that junk you could be using some quality waxes. Suchs as the PoorBoys Natty blue paste wax, Collinite 845, Even mothers SynWax is better...They are all under 20bucks and offer MUCH more and longer protection then turtle crap.

Ok...so enjoy your wax job

meh, i use the ice stuff on my car and like it. i like the spray on synthetic wax and the detail spray. It won't last as long as the high-end stuff some of you guys are using, but i wax it weekly with the stuff and then use the spray detailer at shows. I think it works great for how easy it is. I have no interest in paste waxes, i got that stuff on the black plastic of my 05 and never got all the residue off. I don't even want to think about what it would to to my matte stripes.
i have used it since the day the car came home. the only water spots on the car are the ones from the dealers lot where the car sat in the elements for 6 months waiting for me to buy it. All the people in the local club and at shows always ask if i only rarely drive the car since the paint is so clean and glossy. in the 7 shows i have entered now, i have 5 trophies and in each one the judges commented on how clean the paint was. It's no garage queen, i drive that car everyday rain or shine (and i drive the **** out of it too). It just looks like a garage queen.
That said, those few spots do bother me, i need a decent buffer that won't grind off the paint and a decent product to get all those spots off the car that wont hurt my stripes. any suggestions?

ohhh look what i got on my way home today
There is a high end detail store in my local mall that carries all kinda good stuff..they had a pinnacle 25% off sale..so i got this for 71bucks..couldnt pass it up.
As for people who like ICE..mainly its because you have never really tried a high end wax to appreciate it.
ohh and the stain on your plastic isnt from a paste wax its from a low quality..Pinnacle, Wolfgang and other high end waxes will NOT stain trim. You shouldnt judge a paste wax because of an experience from a cheap brand

what about the question on a decent buffer and something to remove water spots. I am in a relatively small town so walmart and pep boys are about the only places to buy. I loath ordering and waiting for stuff to get here.

Here are some you can find in your Local pep Boys that are good stuff on a budget
http://autogeek.net/meg26hityelw.html
http://autogeek.net/motcalgolorf.html
http://autogeek.net/collinite-insulator-wax-845.html
http://autogeek.net/liqglasautpo.html
as for the Polisher this is what i started with
http://autogeek.net/hk7424.html
for pad selections I would choose 1 orange, 2 white, 1 gray, 1 blue
If your not willing to wait for it shipping and you cant find it locally your SOL..as for as what products to use with this polisher it depends on the amount of damage that is in the paint. Some good things you can get locally are Meguiars Ultimate compund is a heavy cutting compound that is good for moderate correction with an orange pad..but it will also have less cut if you use it with a white or gray pad for fine scratches to clean out. Meguiars Swirl remover 2.0 is pretty low cut and a good thing to use after the ultimate compound to buff out any of the micro marring and hazing left behind if you used a srtong cutting pad like the orange.
best thing is really to go on autogeekonline.com and watch the videos from mike Phillips he is pretty much the god of car detailing and his videos is where i learned how to do pretty much all my detailing
