Run a little black Vinyl around the lip of the decklid and it'll look MUCH better and make it look like it fills the space completely. Enough vinyl to do this would only cost about 10 bucks. I ended up doing the same thing with my DG Customs Blackout panel on my 05 and it made a HUGE difference. Sorry, no before and after pics for you, but you get the idea.
You mean around the little gap on the sides of the panel?
Yeah I was thinking about that. Most of the time when you look at it from directly behind, it's not as noticeable. Are you talking about a shop or DIY?

Yup... that's what I was talking about. And I'm talking DIY. Go to Autozone (or whatever you have in your area) and pick up a roll of black 1/2" pinstriping. Run it around the lip to cover that little gap where the paint is showing through. Done. No more problem and it'll look a ton better from any angle. Will cost you like $6.
*If you can't find 1/2" Black pinstriping, then you could get a 24" square of Matte-Black sheet vinyl HERE for only $14 (Use the leftover for something else.
