The only thing I can't seem to answer is if it messes up any of the factory clear-coating on the wheels when you peel it off. Does anyone know the answer to that question?
I've sprayed it on my hood and peeled it off 30 min later. Seems like everything is fine.

I called American Muscle yesterday and they said that the reason they don't carry HID conversion kits are because they are starting to be outlawed as a modification. If it comes from a factory then it is fine, but a modification is not allowed.

Anyone ever heard of this?

Aftermarket HIDs have always been illegal, but it depends on your setup and how smart your local cops are.

If you're running 15000K pink HIDs that shoot straight up in the air, you'll probably get a ticket. But if you're running 6000K (or lower), and have your beams aligned correctly, you'll most likely skate by.

Too many cars have factory HIDs these days, so it's hard for cops to keep up with which ones are supposed to have em, and which aren't.

Yeah, you can DIY. My first mod an hour after I bought the car was to plasti-dip the pony on my grille. Looks much nicer!
