K Springs or P?
I am about to order lowering springs and would like to hear whats the better spring. Latemodel has the FRPP K (1 1/2" drop) springs for $169 and the FRPP P springs (1" drop) on sale for $129.
Also are upgrading the shocks and struts a must, or will the stock ones work with the FRPP springs just fine? |
I got the K springs and they are bouncy as hell with the stock dampeners. I had to upgrade to Koni dampeners and it handles really well.

The K Springs are pretty low but I love mine and didn't really notice a rougher ride. I haven't changed the shocks and struts though, so I'm sure they're even better with them installed. FYI: I have bottomed out on a few speed bumps and leaving a under ground garages. I live in the DC area, the roads aren't exactly the best.

I have the K springs with Tokico shocks/struts. I don't think the P spings will lower it enough to make much difference. I think the K springs give it the right stance. The stock shocks will work fine but ride quality will suffer. I would plan on getting some new shocks/struts sometime down the road.
Here's a side view... pic was taken about 5 months after the spring were installed. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5054/...7e7f0187_b.jpg |
I have the K springs with the Ford Racing shocks and struts. With the tire and wheel combo that i have, it rides like a luxury car.

I have the K-springs with the stock struts/shocks and the ride IMO is better then stock.
Will change them out to Koni adjustables when the time comes. |
