Aftermarket seats in a 2011 ?
#2
Yes there is but I am afraid I can remember the particulars. There is two ways one you buy these test plug things from Ford or you plug in the proper value resistor which costs a few cents. Not much help so figure this as a bump maybe someone else can remember the value of that resistor.

not surprised, most people at my local dealers are idiots so i assume that goes for all dealers. i called roush not too long ago to see what was up with them not offering leather seat kits for 10-11 cars aftermarket. they told me the weight sensor for the airbag was a problem on these cars and you had to have some sort of special tool to reset it. that is a deal killer for me since my kids ride in the car every day.

I did get my air bag light out and the air bags working. They aren't all the same it took a lot more work on my 2010 than it does on a 2007. I had to swap all the stock passenger seat stuff to the new seat and the seat position sensor on the drivers side. The seat cushion sensor, the ECU, and the position sensor were all moved and hooked back up to the harness. I just tie-rapped the position sensors so they were made with the seats back nobody is likely to adjust the passenger seat forward. To fool the computer that I had seat air bags I put the Ford test modules.
