Hey guys, thank you for the feedback on whether 3M needs a hardware assist. In some of the responses it sounds like it may actually be the other way around (hardware needs a 3M assist). I was a little surprised to see the thread turn into a "scoop or not to scoop" debate because I think of the Mustang as the Harley Davidson of hot rods. It's a classic that allows you to keep it original or add bolt-ons or custom paint.. and the list goes on and on. Harleys are much the same when it comes to a laundry list of add-ons to give it the attitude you desire. I have owned a lot of muscle cars over the years and customization on brands C and D isn't looked upon so favorably. In most other cases it can actually lower the value of the car. Not saying that you can't go overboard and screw up the looks of a Mustang because I have seen some that in my opinion wouldn't want in my driveway ha ha.. But beauty is in the eye of the owner and we should all remember that beneath the custom paints - stripes - window tint and scoops they all bleed Ford Blue.

If you are so concerned about what other people say about functionality, then make it functional. Also, point out something on their car that isn't functional. Every car has something for show whether stock or after market.

A mustang without mods is just that, a non-modded mustang.
I see them daily and dont give them a nevermind.
Mostly girlies driving them (its true).
Now give me the view of a tastefully modded mustang
and tears come to my eyes...

The laughs are quickly quelled when they are in your dust...

Some people go WAY overboard with mods. But none or some can both look good. Heck, even some cars can pull of the too much mods. That is rare though.
