Made it myself... Inspired by FORD-A-TUDE....

I foil backed a Black Chrome Running Pony to amplify the lighting intensity...

Dremel cut and filed a 3/16 sheet of clear lexan to the shape of the pony. (I was informed Lexan was used in fiber optics so..I tired it with this over standard plexiglass. )

Carefully placed and spaced 12 LED's to the Lexan Sheet to sandwich between the Pony emblem and the LEXAN.

Drilled a refraction point where each LED was clear taped....

Unmounted the original Chromed PONY and set this one in its place. I debated at this point whether to wire it into the parking lights or the Fog lights.

State Law would stick me if I have blue or red lights so I decided ... The fogs lights so I can cut these off and on with the OEM fogs if I want to. Tapped into Parking lights they would be always on and always a cause for trouble with a fickle cop.

Added some wire loom for a clean look ..

And BOOM... Glow Pony.

I'm going to make another one and document the Mod.... Otherwise you can look at FORD-A-TUDE's version..which is a bit different but still...along the same lines. Link Below.

https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...lle-mod-8.html

Total investment if you use your existing Pony..

$10 for a dozen LED's pre configured for 12 to 14 volt applications.
$3 for an 8 by 10 sheet of 3/16th thick Lexan

If you need to buy another Pony add $60 bucks.

Tools = Dremel, Sandpaper, Clear tape, 1'4 inch Drill bit, Pliers and Body Panel Pry tool to remove Pony from Grill without losing the OE locking tabs.

Time = 2 hours tops to fabricate if you're good with Dremel. And maybe 30 minutes to install once you decide where you're gonna tap into for power.

Can't believe I forgot about the White Mustang thread. Here's a picture of my new louvers, with custom paint. Got it finished in February.

Thanks for your response. After asking you the question, I did a google search and Ford A Tudes write up on this popped up. While this wouldn't work for me as I have the center fog grille on my car, I know a lot of people who would be interested in this for their car. I am very handy with both the drummel and electrical aspect of this project, so I may look into making multiple sets and sell them to local mustang club members, even doing the installs if needed.

Thanks!

okay Bro.... I like it.... But I smiled when I saw your pic because it almost looks like the entire back end of your car is launch pad into the horizon.

Nice job.

Nice taste in style…

Canards is the name. I got them for a different car, heated them, molded them and bolted them on. Im a ricer at heart. Im not sure if they make canards for a mustang and I wanted more than a universal canard like APR makes.

They are but Im sure for optimal downforce angles and positioning comes into play. For me it was where can I get these to fit. they may add a small amount of downforce but I have nothing to back that up. I hope you're also on my side when I bolt a big *** wing on this car lol.

The canards are for an FRS. I almost used canards for a few other models but the FRS was the closest shape wise and therefore the easiest to modify.
