Plasti Dipped Wheels

took me about 4 hours start to finish including jacking the car up cleaning the wheels etc. i used about 3 1/2 cans with about 4 or 5 coats per wheel. the stuff looks really bad while your spraying it but once it drys it lays nice and flat and the color is exactly the same as the black plastics on the car. as far as durability im skeptical seeing how easy it was to peel off from the center caps but for $6 a can its worth a try

Lookin good !

I put about 2-3 coats on each rim on my bro's 08 Charger R/T, had them on for 5 months and through this last weaker winter, holding up great. No signs of peeling at all. Just a good cleaning and it looks fresh !

That's good to hear, I think as long as they don't get a nick to where it would start a peel they should hold up

Looks good.. would make a world of difference if you painted your calipers next.. The contrast with the the dark rims and a light colored caliper would look sick IMO..

Very nice. I'm definately going to do the same. But I'm stationed in Germany, is there a good website where I can order this plasti-dip can.

Also, did you do the whole sanding down the rims and all that other good stuff like that (asking because I'm new to this)???

I bought some tri-bar pony center caps, and since I've spent alot on modifications, i have to hold off for a long while before the wife will consider letting me byu some rims. So I think this is the best route to go for now....

But those rims look very good...

I am going to paint the calipers red within the next week or two, as far as prep all you have to do is clean the wheels no sanding is needed
