Default I Have Been Washing My Car Wrong!

LiveSmart:Reader Tip From USA Weekend insert that was in my paper ...

For a 12 minute car wash, you just need to deploy a bucket of sudsy water, an old-fashioned string mop, thirsty towels and a garden hose, says Jean Elam of North Augusta, S.C.

The mop can swab across the top and around sides, back and front with about six dips into suds. Rinse with water from hose. Finish with a quick towel wipe-down.

What about the car wheels? Elam says you can wash them when you have more time.

So if you see your wife or girlfriend heading outside with a mop this Fathers Day...

If it's an old beater truck that you use for hauling trash and a couple hound-dogs then yeah, hit it with a mop... not on my Mustang paint... Ever!

You might be able to pull it off with some ONR...

I use ONR almost daily. I use it for everything from quick detailer to clay lubricant and I can honestly say I would never use a mop. Well, unless my dog pukes on the floor...
