Sad Day for Brembo Wheels
So I knew it had to happen eventually, but I was dreading this day. I got the first rock chip on my painted 19 inch Brembo wheels today. Ive done some research and found that due to the Brembo painting process, it's extremely difficult to fix. BUMMER.
My question is, has anyone found a color of touch-up paint that matches good enough to hide the ding for a while until repainting the whole wheel is justified. Not just ANY silver paint will work, just like most of you I too am extremely picky when it comes to my pony

Had the same problem with a customer's Lexus (ISF)...
Nicked all 4 wheels and I had my paint store trying to match his color: Dark charcoal in semi gloss.
They got close but I finished the tint myself with what I had in the shop. PITA.

Depending how bad the chip is, and how bad you want to get it fixed, a reputable rim repair shop should be able to take care of it. I've gotten chipped and rashed BBS and OZ wheels repaired at good shops, and nearly impossible for anyone else to tell work was done.

The "chip" itself isn't very bad at all, it's more of a paint scratch. No metal was hit. Just a rock impact that removed all three layers (clear, silver, and black paint) I just see it every time I walk up to the car, so just a quick fix slapping some touchup paint on is all it needs, I just need the right color before I spend 6.00$ a bottle trying to guess the touchup color

When I bought the car (April 2012) I purchased extra insurance for wheels, paint, and glass damage. In the fine print it says "No cosmetic damage". So its not covered under that insurance but I haven't heard from ford whether or not they can do anything about it
