Default Need some help guys. Black rims/Red dish/lip

Hi guys I'm new here. I have a 2010 mustang premium convert. Its red/black and I want to upgrade the wheels. I dont really mind if they are heavier or effect performance as Im only going for appearance. The rim stock are 17" so first off im wondering how big I can go without running into issues. The gap between the wall and the wheels on mustangs has always been unappealing to me so I'd think a 20" would probably look best. Dont want to lower it at all. Anyway I really am looking for a nice pair of shiny black wheels with a red lip. Most i've seen just have the outer lip red, I want the dish red as well. Here is a perfect example of what im looking for. Would this be a good fit? If anyone has any link's for something similar please post up. Thank you

Anytime you put a larger rim on a car without lowering it, you will still have that "gap between the wall and the wheels" that you don't like.

what they said.

you will need to lower the car in order to close the wheel gap - or you will need to get tires with ridiculous sidewalls that will not work well for the car at all .. : )

do this right - don't regret the decision. you need to research what proper fitment / offsets are for the wheels you purchase, or order through a dealer who already knows this information. that being said - the ones you selected are a pretty cheap company and I've seen enough XXR failure threads to distrust them. they are cheap wheels. I've actually seen those exact wheels in person before and they are pretty unappealing. that fitment is relatively decent for your car though - and 20s will be no problem.

Well im not too concerned about covering the whole gap. Maybe i'll just go with 18's and keep the same tire specs. Any good idea's on a black/red rim?

What do you think about these?
http://www.readywheels.com/traklite....olor-rims.html

Its odd b/c its says they 18x8 and 18x9 but I though the car stock was 17x7 so shouldnt they be 18x7?

What ever you do, don't buy from readywheels. There are numerous reports about bad quality and service. You will regret it.

You can buy different width rims for your car, but the offset is what matters most when going wider. Search tirerack.com or discounttiredirect to start and get an idea of what you like, and some different choices. Also, americanmuscle.com has some packages as well.

We don't have any red lip wheels available, but we do have lots of different sizes that are Mustang specific and are guaranteed to fit (models/years of fitments are listed)! Also, we have a 1yr finish warranty as well as a lifetime structural warranty, which allows our customers to buy with confidence. Plus, we ground ship for Free and if you purchase tires through us, we'll mount/balance the wheels before we send them out to you!

If you're interested in more details, feel free to PM me with any questions!

I got my 18" rims and caps from americanmuscle and they look absolutely perfect. No finish problems with fit and they handle wonderfully so obviously I'd do what this guy says and try to find something there if possible
